We chose Koja for a pre-game bite before the baseball game, and it didn't disappoint. Koja Kitchen was a great find! I was really pleased when my food arrived--it definitely lived up to my expectations. The self-ordering screens made things easy, with minimal service needed aside from food delivery. The wait was quick, and my meal was served warm. The quality was impressive for the price. My friend ordered the beef bowl with white rice and salad; with no sauce & no kimchi. It had a nice flavor and was a generous portion for $12.50. I had the pork chicken taco ($4.50) with kimchi on the side, ($1.25) which was full of flavor.

Quick and easy bite to eat, friendly enough place. A bit of a different vibe between upstairs (casual eating) and downstairs (bar and karaoke). Food was solid for the price.

I used to come to Koja Kitchen at least once a month when it first opened, it was so good! Today I stopped by as my order at another restaurant nearby was an hour wait and I was hungry and ready to eat! There is a kiosk to order the full menu options. You can also order at the register if you don't like using a kiosk, the young lady was polite and helpful. Order arrived fast, food tasted ok. Kamikaze fries weren't as crispy as I like them, but super tasty as it is topped with bulgogi, Japanese mayo and a red sauce. The chicken wasn't great, serving was chopped up pieces in a thick pasty sauce. I was expecting chicken thigh or breast that is usually bbq'd and sliced. The other part of the bowl was lettuce blend, rice and kimchi. I will not order this again, I will stick to my usual fries and wings next time. Restaurant looks spacious from the outside patio and inside seating. It may need some TLC. I hope they are doing the best they can in this economy as so many other restaurants are closing up shop downtown.

Now that the Roseville location has closed, the Sacramento Koja Kitchen is the closest location to us and let me tell you, the food is just as good. Koja has never disappointed. They have a great selection, and I've become a bit of a creature of habit when we eat here. I'll try to always get the Original Koja or the Umami Fries. The fries may be the best fries I've had anywhere in my life. waffle fries with sauce, korean beef, etc. They're just absolutely fantastic. The location here is a bit small, so don't be surprised if it's busy when you come, but the food is definitely good and well worth any wait required. The only drawback, like most city spots, is parking, but that's hardly the fault of the restaurant. The service here was good and quick as well. Definitely worth checking out if you've never been and are a fan of Korean fusion.
